Footstock European Tournaments Preview

With the Europa League and Champions League multi-game tournaments getting underway on Footstock tonight, the Footstock European Tournaments Preview provides a look ahead to the big games featuring Premier League sides, with predicted lineups courtesy of Footstock’s partner, WhoScored.

Manchester United vs LASK – Wednesday, 8 p.m.

Manchester United
First leg: LASK 0 vs 5 Manchester United
With a comfortable lead from the first leg, it seems likely Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will rest his big names against the Austrian visitors. 1-star defender Teden Mengi has been included in the squad for the first time and is available on the Footstock market for £1.44. However, as this is the first match of the tournament, users will have the opportunity to view the starting eleven before finalising their entries.

Availability:
Injuries: Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw, Phil Jones (all out)

Wolves vs Olympiacos – Thursday, 8 p.m.

Wolves
First leg: Olympiacos 1 vs 1 Wolves
As usual, Nuno Espirito Santo has a full squad to pick from for this tightly balanced affair. Daniel Podence has been on good form and will be itching to play against his former club. If that wish is granted, Diogo Jota will likely start on the bench. Leander Dendoncker could drop into the back three, with Joao Moutinho then returning to his central midfield berth.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid – Friday, 8 p.m.

Manchester City
First leg: Real Madrid 1 vs 2 Manchester City
With Benjamin Mendy unavailable, Oleksandr Zinchenko will likely slot in at left back, with a change of wings for Joao Cancelo the other option available to Pep Guardiola. Expect the big guns of Sterling, Jesus and Mahrez to start up top, with the metronomic passing of Rodri likely to be favoured in midfield for a match where possession may be key.

Availability:
Injuries: Sergio Aguero (out)
Suspended: Benjamin Mendy

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea – Saturday, 8 p.m.

Chelsea
First leg: Chelsea 0 vs 3 Bayern Munich
Having been named on the bench for the FA Cup final despite an injury worry, N’Golo Kante is expected to return here, especially given the many absentees Frank Lampard has to contend with against the German Rekordmeister. The unavailability of both Marcos Alonso and Cesar “Dave” Azpilicueta means Emerson seems a safe bet for a start at left back / wing-back. The Basic-rated defender is currently available on the Footstock market for £0.40.

Availability:
Injuries: Marco van Ginkel, Billy Gilmour, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cesar Azpilicueta, Christian Pulisic, Pedro (all out)
Willian (doubt)
Suspended: Marcos Alonso, Jorginho
